Soul in Motion

Back for New Years Eve!
One of the highlights of Detroit was the success of motown records in the 1960s.
Its the sound of three, four and five piece groups making music you just can’t sit still to – you just need to get up and dance, it makes you feel good and forget your troubles. Even some of the great 70s disco hits have that motown feel and sound, with the addition of Soul and Northern Soul we hope we can bring back that sound.
Let Soul In Motion bring some great memories back to you, the line up comprises father and son Ricky and Azzi fronting the show with strong vocals Ricky With his deep rich tones and Azzi with the strong high range together with Andy and Luke bringing the strong harmonies, and newest member Rob, rounding off those harmonies on some of the greatest songs from the Motown stable, including those great 70s hits.

A novel take on the traditional tale. The witch, Deadly Nightshade, casts an evil spell that Princess Rose will prick her finger on a spinning wheel and die before her 16th birthday. To keep Rose safe, she is hidden away in a cottage in the forest. On the eve of her 16th birthday, she meets a handsome young man in the forest. What could possibly go wrong?
Can the Prince fight his way through a forest of thorns to deliver his true love’s kiss, thus setting the scene for a traditional happy ending?

Urban Freeway Band

Sonic Fire

The Forest Musical Society are returning to Lydney in February with their latest musical production of “Sister Act” is a joyful musical based on the 1992 film of the same name. With music from 8-time Tony and Oscar winner Alan Menken (Newsies, Beauty and The Beast) Sister Act was nominated for 5 Tony Awards, including best musical.
When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won’t be a found, a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but, in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase, only to find them up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood. Filled with powerful gospel music, outrageous dancing and a truly moving story, Sister Act will leave audiences breathless. A sparkling tribute to the universal power of friendship, Sister Act is reason to REJOICE!

Big Mac’s Wholly Soul Band

A 12 piece Classic Soul Band who have been together since 1990 and have played not only all over the UK, including The Marquee Club, The Café Royal, The Rock Garden, Boomtown Festival, Upton Blues, The Dorchester, The ICC, but also in Vienna, Cairo, Tenerife, Germany and Dublin. They have supported or shared the bill with acts such as Billy Ocean, Edwin Starr, Jools Holland, Van Morrison, Earth Wind & Fire, Sister Sledge, Gabrielle,  Jimmy James, The Real Thing, Odyssey, Paul Young, Craig Charles, Ruby Turner, Omar, Rozalla, Gwen Dickey (Rose Royce),The Commitments, Sheila Ferguson (The Three Degrees), Pato Banton, The Pasadenas, Jaki Graham and many more.

Company.B – Jump Jive

Company B are a jump jive band hailing from the “sunny” county of Cornwall, England. Over the last 11 years this rowdy 7 piece have been popping up all over the South West and further afield at various locations from London Science Museum to headlining slots at various festivals, playing support to many international artists.

Company B bring the sights and sounds of the 1940’s bang up to date with a rowdy energetic show full of swing and swagger. The band, who have built a reputation as one of the most entertaining acts in the South West, boast a rock solid rhythm section, an exhilarating horn section and dynamic vocals which veer from rowdy chant to tight harmonies. Company B play the songs of Louis Prima, Louis Jordan and others alongside their own “tongue in cheek” originals to create a hot atmosphere which is surprisingly cool to all ages.

Bootleg Blondie

BOOTLEG BLONDIE is the world’s No.1 official Debbie Harry & Blondie tribute band established in 2001, the only tribute to have performed with two founder members of Blondie, legendary drummer Clem Burke and singer songwriter, bass player and author Gary Valentine. The band played legendary CBGB in New York City and are unique in that not only have they had the honour to be thanked on Blondie’s 11th studio album ‘Pollinator’, but also toured the UK in 2019 with Clem Burke on drums to celebrate 40 years since the release of Blondie’s iconic album Parallel Lines! In an interview Andy described Clem as the coolest older brother you could ever want.

Debbie Harris, lead vocalist of Bootleg Blondie, has the looks, the voice and the attitude of the original Blondie bombshell and like her heroine is typically outrageous on stage. She has been known to wear dustbin liners, thigh length boots and t-shirts with more holes than t-shirt! Debbie’s pride & joy is her guitar that she plays at every show and is signed by all the Blondie members.

Welcome to our colourful, dynamic and exciting tribute show featuring the music of some of the world’s most iconic and influential electric guitar players. Musicians that have shaped pop and rock music over the years – and many that continue to do so. However, it’s difficult to see some of these artists perform their music live, a few are no longer with us, others only touring infrequently. That’s where we come in…the songs we play are faithful live renditions of the original pieces. Although we occasionally indulge ourselves with an interpretation, none of the songs lose the feel of the original recording. We’ve picked our tracks with great care to showcase the work of the greatest guitar icons. We hope you enjoy the show!

The George Harrison Project

A musical icon who was part of arguably the biggest band of all time will be honoured and remembered with a special show.
The George Harrison Project, the UK’s leading live music tribute to George Harrison, celebrates his best-loved hits from The Beatles, his solo career, and The Traveling Wilburys.
Alongside John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, Harrison helped The Beatles become the best-selling music act of all time with 600 million units shifted worldwide. After the Liverpudlian four-piece called time on Beatlemania, the songwriter formed The Traveling Wilburys, a supergroup featuring Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, and Tom Petty.
Harrison also enjoyed a successful solo career, releasing 12 studio albums, including Living In The Material World, Cloud Nine, Brainwashed and the classic triple album, All Things Must Pass.
During the show, some of his most best-known tracks will be performed, including All Things Must Pass, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Here Comes The Sun, Cheer Down, Handle With Care, Taxman, My Sweet Lord, Got My Mind Set On You, and many more!
In 2022 the owner of Harrison’s childhood home in Liverpool invited The George Harrison Project to visit the house and record some acoustic songs there.
